It's been nearly two weeks and I am still symptom free! Even though pollen counts are lower in my area, I have continued to keep up with my routine and it's working!

I am sensing a pattern. Everything was going along wonderfully until Monday of this week. I got home and the landscapers were here mowing, blowing and otherwise stirring up tons of pollen. I started sneezing, itching and had a runny nose. I followed my regimen, but did not get much relief. The next morning at work I was still pretty stuffed up. Despite going through my routine again, I just wasn't getting the necessary relief. I decided I would take an over-the-counter allergy relief medication. It took a little time, but I did start to feel better. I did not take the OTC medication again, continued with my regimen and have felt great every day since. Conclusion: It seems I am hit by symptoms after landerscapers have been at my house and I don't get relief at my office due to the poor circulation. However, I am suffering much less than I ever have since I started getting Fall seasonal allergies and I'm not backing down!
If your are following a regimen and get symptoms, don't worry about taking an over-the-counter medication to get through the attack. It's something we recommend. But, be sure to continue your routine and back off the OTC as soon as you can. If you haven't already, take a look at 6 steps we suggest you follow to get the allergy relief you need! So, I had a couple of tough days on Monday and Tuesday, but only in the newsroom of my office in San Francisco in the morning. I found out the air that is circulated through our floor in the building comes directly from outside, there is construction going on right near the outside vents and I sit directly under one of the inside vents! Pollen, mold, dust! Don't want to feel like this at work? This is a really important thing to think about when dealing with allergies. You can help control your own environment, but not always other places like where you work. If you are suffering, you may want to ask how the ventilation in your building works and if the vents have been cleaned recently. Minimizing allergens is critical to relieving symptoms. Find out ways to eliminate pollen on our allergy relief page. The last few days I have been back to having basically no symptoms!! I am continuing my regimen and hoping you all have found your own through our 6 steps on the Home Page. Let us know how it's going! Despite the lower pollen counts today, I was hit pretty hard this morning, especially at work in San Francisco and driving home. Sneezing, congestion, itching! I made sure my car was set to inside re-circulation, and when I got home I did all my preventive measures, including the neti-pot, changing clothes, rinsing off, staying inside for a bit, shutting windows and turning on the air. I am continuing to take Allercetin homeopathic allergy supplement and using the nasal spray found at our store. The Landscapers started cleaning, so I had to wait until they were done to re-open the windows, but am heading out for a walk later! Go to our home page for our 6 steps to allergy relief and find what combination works best for you! Pollen counts are a little lower today, but I am not letting up on my regimen. It's important that I continue taking preventive measures so I keep my resistance up! Feeling good!

I have been continuing my regimen and feeling great with few symptoms since August 22nd, until yesterday midday while I was at work. By the time I left and was in my car, I was sneezing, itching and my nose was running. I made sure the recirculating air option was turned on in the car. I got home and immediately used the neti-pot and the nasal spray, took Allercetin and the allergy supplement, threw the clothes I had on in the washer and took a shower. I stayed inside for bit. I was quickly a completely different person. All symptoms were relieved for the rest of the day and I even went for a long walk! I got home from work today and I am feeling some itching, but no sneezing...not bad though. I stayed inside for just a bit, a rinse off and my afternoon regimen. Feeling good! Remember, you can keep a diary for yourself as well, like I am at Pollen.com. This is what it was like for the allergy count in my |
