One of my aspirations was to become a life coach, but decided by creating a website I could reach more people about the benefits of self-care. I love to help others who want to live a healthy lifestyle and I am the 'go-to' person for many who trust me to answer questions about allergy relief and other health issues.
My journey into the world of health and fitness began 35 years ago. As an aerobics instructor and personal trainer, I learned the many benefits of exercise. While going through some challenging times I discovered the science of Yoga for stress relief. This ancient practice opened the doors to a completely new world - holistic health. After many years of personal research, I enrolled at JFK University in the Science, Health and Living Systems program. I completed my six-month internship at an integrative wellness center with hands-on instruction in various healing practices, such as natural health and Ayurveda. During this journey I discovered a deeper sense of my 'self" and what is valuable to me, like being outdoors and enjoying nature, travel, family, the simple pleasures in life, and sharing what I learn with others. |
I love being outside, so when allergies started to affect my ability to do so, I knew I needed a change. I have suffered with Fall seasonal allergies for a few years now and that is why I can relate to the miserable symptoms that come with the territory.
I have a degree in Journalism from SDSU and my first full-time job was at KRON-TV in San Francisco as a sales assistant and computer specialist. Traveling around Europe in the mid- 90's by myself changed my life in so many ways, including the direction of my career. My on-air radio career began in Anchorage, Alaska nearly 25 years ago. Since then, I have been working in the Bay Area covering news, traffic, weather and sports as well as managing, producing, interviewing, editing and writing for stations like KGO, KSFO, KNBR, KFOG, and many more. |
